What is the InnovationXchange?

Are you a startup looking for answers to real-world challenges? Apply to join us at HIMSS26 Europe in Copenhagen for the InnovationXchange on May 21, to gain solution seeking, insightful input and meaningful networking with investors, incubators and hospital leaders. 

Digital health startups bring one pre-defined, real-world digital health problem. Investors, incubators and hospital leaders bring answers based on lived experience. Matches are designed to surface practical advice, pattern recognition, and concrete next steps, not theory.

No pitching. No panels. Just fast, honest problem-solving.

Eligibility Criteria

  • To apply for the InnovationXchange registration for HIMSS26 Europe in Copenhagen as a paid startup is required (€ 499 early bird rate). You can register in the next step of this application.
  • Sectors: Digital health solutions, including clinical tools, patient-facing apps, digital therapeutics, population health, provider platforms, or wellness solutions.
  • Startup Stage: Early-stage or growth-stage with a real-world operational or adoption challenge to be solved. This session is open only to companies that have already encountered real-world barriers when working with hospitals or healthcare systems.

Notes for applicants

  • Only startups with first-hand experience in deploying, piloting, or attempting to adopt digital solutions in a healthcare setting should apply. The session is not suitable for startups still validating their problem or concept. 
  • Applications from companies that have not yet interacted with hospitals, payers, or clinical teams will not be considered.
  • Applications will be reviewed within 30 working days to ensure alignment with problem clusters for table assignments.
  • HIMSS reserves the right to evaluate each request on an individual basis.

Please note:

  • No VAT will be applied to registration fees for this event!
  • If paying via bank transfer, please ensure that all payments are received no later than 3 weeks prior to the event start date (through 28 April 2026) to confirm your registration. After this date, only credit card payments will be accepted, and all unpaid registrations that selected bank transfer but did not complete the payment yet will be asked to use this option only.
  • For paid registrants, cancellation-with-refund is permitted if requested in writing to reg@himss.org by Tuesday, 24 February 2026. Refunds, less a €100 administration fee, are paid ninety (90) days after the end of the Conference. After the 12-week cutoff (Tuesday, 24 February 2026), registrants can cancel, but will forfeit their whole registration fee. Registrants who are unable to attend may propose a substitute attendee, which may be accepted in HIMSS’s sole discretion. The proposed substitute must register for the Conference and pay the fee associated with their own registration and membership status. Once completed, the original registrant must send the substitute’s registration ID to reg@himss.org and the original registration fee will then be refunded in full.
